This is an option for enthusiasts who want to build a server with high computing power while maintaining a minimum height of 1U. As with other 1U models, the choice of processor and cooling should pay attention to the limited space and optimization of the operating temperature. The top-of-the-range 1U SC01-6501-12B features 8 x 40mm PWM fans (with the option to install two additional fans on the back of the case) that provide high airflow. The speed control in the range of 4000-8000 RPM ensures a low to moderate noise level and effectively cools powerful components even under prolonged loads. The SC01-6501-12B offers 4 drive bays in the standard configuration - users can choose to install 4 high-capacity 3.5" HDDs or 4 fast 2.5" SSDs. This provides a solid foundation for creating a large RAID network or a flexible combination of storage devices for various purposes. Each Lanberg RACK 1U server chassis is constructed from 1.2mm thick galvanized steel, which significantly exceeds the industry standard and differs from competing solutions. The larger thickness of the material leads to greater mechanical resistance - the chassis effectively protects the components from deformation, accidental bumps and micro-vibrations that could affect the stability of the server in the long term.
