It lights up golden - and yet blue at the same time. How can that be? With the 24 Karat Blau, Ingo Maurer has created a Meisterwerke that utilises the physical laws of light refraction to create a fascinating light effect. Four acrylic glass panels arranged in a Karree - all handmade - form the lampshade of the pendant light. Real gold leaf has been moulded into the acrylic panels and beaten to a wafer-thin thickness. the gold leaf is 1/10,000 mm thin, which corresponds to 1,000 atomic layers. This is where physics comes into play. The light generated inside the light shines outwards between the molecules as short-wave blue light, while yellow-gold light is reflected inwards. The outer form of the light can be changed as desired, as each acrylic plate has four holes that can be used to attach it to the crossbar that forms the Basis of the light. This allows absolute symmetry, but also deliberate asymmetry, to be expressed with 24 carat blue by aligning the plates either at right angles to each other or completely arbitrarily.

Zettel'z 6 – Designer pendant light with printed notes that can be customised A jumble of notes – that's probably the best way to describe the Zettel'z 6 pendant light. What should actually be avoided in everyday life is expressly desired with this light. The Zettel'z 6 does not dictate to its owner what composition the notes should follow or what messages they should convey. Rather, the character of the pendant light is left almost entirely up to the owner. A screen cylinder with an inner cylinder made of heat-resistant glass, which also houses the socket for the bulb, forms the heart of the light, from which the individual design takes its course. The supplied rods (40 long and 40 short) can be inserted through the upper part of the screen cylinder – as many as you like and in any arrangement, until the frame of the light is complete. All that's missing now are the notes! 80 DIN A6 notes made of thin Japanese paper are included in the scope of delivery. Of these, 40 are already printed and 40 are unprinted. LED designer pendant light One New Flame equipped with touch dimmer One New Flame - this extraordinary designer pendant light could not be more aptly titled, as the light interprets the flickering of real candlelight in a completely new way. 256 LEDs, which simulate the flickering of a real candle in a deceptively realistic way, have been installed in the upper part of the elongated body of the luminaire. The brightness of each LED is 6 lumens, but it should be noted that all LEDs never light up at the same time. The designers used video footage of a real candle flame as the starting point for the production of this light. The LED display, onto which the candle flame is projected, was integrated into a 43 cm long electronic board, which gives the pendant light its unusual appearance. The light can be dimmed using a button switch located in the centre of the circuit board. The flat circuit board is connected to the white ceiling canopy via fine cables, so that no eye-catching wire or cable construction can distract from this sensational light source.
