The light does not consist of a fabric lampshade and a stable base, like traditional table lamps, but is made entirely of Japanese paper that is stretched onto a metal frame. The paper is deliberately slightly creased, creating interesting shadow elements. The material used is very thin and translucent and thus produces an indirect, diffuse light around the table lamp. The cardboard lampshade of the Willydilly hanging light winds elegantly around the light source and surrounds it with a casual spiral. Koyoo Designer table lamp from Axel Schmid The Koyoo LED table lamp is particularly light and manoeuvrable and can be used without a cable as it is equipped with a rechargeable battery, a USB connection and a battery charger. The filigree design and paper lampshade, which actually consists of only one single sheet of paper, also contribute to the feeling of lightness. An additional special feature is the placement of the light source. A light source is normally located in the lampshade of a table lamp and/or rather in the upper area, but in this case it is integrated in the foot of Koyoo and thereby radiates upwards in the direction of the paper lampshade. If the lamp is positioned on a table, then the paper circle is still located below eye level, so that the light does not dazzle - on the contrary, it creates cosy, indirect light. A central trademark of Ingo Maurer's lights is the presence of the bulb, which he always deliberately places centre stage due to his special relationship with it. I Ricchi Poveri Bzzzz presents a 12 V LED bulb specially made for this light, which is enthroned on a thin brass rod. Attached to a filigree wire, a blue dragonfly made of anodised aluminium hovers above the traditional light bulb and seems to want to land on it in the next moment. A refinement that can only come from Ingo Maurer. Dragonflies are often equated with fairy-like creatures and are commonly associated with lightness, dynamism and flexibility. Nothing can disturb the unique beauty of this accessory in Maurer's eyes - not even a socket. Aesthetic floor lamp Wo-Tum-Bu 1 with sliding dimmer For the handmade floor lamp Wo-Tum-Bu 1, Ingo Maurer was inspired by the Japanese sculptor Isamu Noguchi. Based on his name, an entire series of lights was created in collaboration with Dagmar Mombach: “The MaMo Noochies”. The lights in this collection are all characterised by their natural, organic shapes. The lampshade of Wo-Tum-Bu 1 is elaborately folded and pulled by hand in several steps. It is shaped until the design is reminiscent of a cocoon. The Japanese paper which is used to make the lampshade captivates people with its characteristically ribbed surface, which is shown to particular advantage when light falls upon it. The solid, untreated concrete base of Wo-Tum-Bu 1, which represents an appropriate contrast to the thin, light paper lampshade, is also worth a mention. Wo-Tum-Bu 1 is a designer piece which is equally suitable for use in a living room at home and in entrance areas of hotels or other public buildings, where it not only provides an atmospheric additional light, but also acts as an aesthetic style element at the same time. To adjust the brightness to your individual requirements, the floor lamp is equipped with a sliding dimmer. Particular care is required when handling this designer light, so that its beauty is preserved in the long term. The paper lampshade may not be wiped with a damp cloth under any circumstances, but must be cleaned with a duster, brush or similar. The concrete base should not come into contact with greases such as hand cream or other liquids, as these leave behind traces on the surface. To avoid discolouration, it should, therefore, only be touched with dry, clean hands or with gloves.

24 Karat Blau - designer floor lamp with a blue and gold lighting effect The 24 Carat Blue floor lamp is not only a masterpiece for lighting design, rather also for its physical appearance because this light source makes use of an impressive law of natural science in order to create a fascinating light spectacle. Eight handmade acrylic panels attached to crossbars form the lampshade of this very extraordinary light. 24 carat gold leaf is then poured into the plates and thinly beaten to 1/10,000 mm. This enables short-wave blue light to shine through between the molecules, while yellow-golden light is reflected inwards and immerses the lampshade in a golden light glow. The acrylic panels are respectively arranged on two levels one above the other in the square and form an abstract-looking construction. Every panel is provided with four drill holes - one on each side. The position of the panels on the metal cross can therefore be varied at will - sometimes straight, sometimes vertical or even contrary to any symmetrical form at a preferred angle to each other. Ingo Maurer is considered to be one of the most internationally renowned lighting designers and made a name for himself early on as a poet of light. As a lover and admirer of the traditional light bulb, he has therefore dedicated numerous creations to it. Some of his light objects are also exhibited in the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

A real all-rounder LED floor lamp Ringelpiez - dimmable, inclining, up or downlight What Ingo Maurer and his team were probably thinking in 2016 when they gave this extravagant floor lamp the name Ringelpiez becomes clear when you look more closely at this light fitting which was definitely not created to just stand on the spot unaltered. In colloquial German usage, the word “Ringelpiez” refers to a boisterous, generally spontaneous circle dance without a fixed form. Even at first glance, you can see that the floor lamp Ringelpiez dances out of line at least visually. But Ringelpiez has even more tricks up its sleeve. The light consists of a slim carbon fibre rod with a grey, cast iron base. Carbon fibre is known for its low dead weight and its extraordinary stability and is also referred to as the material of the future. Without any tools, the rod can be pulled out from 150 cm to a maximum length of 210 cm in a single action. The core of Ringelpiez, a luminous ring fitted with LEDs, is attached to the rod by a short cantilever arm and has further surprises in store. Regardless of where and how the light is required at the moment, Ringelpiez is always in service. The luminous ring can not only be rotated and tilted in numerous directions on its cantilever arm, but can also be removed completely and set back on the rod upside down. Therefore, as well a practical downlight, which serves as a direct light source for reading or work, Ringelpiez also provides an indirect uplight when you want a slightly cosier ambience. If you have still not had enough of the astonishing flexibility of this floor lamp, you can cast a look at the base, which is equipped with two holes. The rod can either inserted into the central hole and thus given a vertical position, or it can be inserted in the hole positioned to the side to fix the light at an angle of 15 degrees. Finally, a cord transformer with a slide control allows Ringelpiez to be seamlessly dimmed.

The story of the infamous table lamp Bulb begins in 1966 in a hotel room in Venice. After enjoying a good bottle of red wine, Ingo Maurer was lying on the bed in his hotel when he caught sight of what he says was a beautiful 15 watt traditional light bulb on the ceiling above him. The same night, Maurer began the first draft of the design for the table lamp Bulb, with which he manages to pay homage to the traditional light bulb. Previously, the most important requirement placed on the design of lights was that they should conceal the light bulb as well as possible, and that the actual actual light source should remain hidden. And it is precisely this simple light bulb, which was previously hardly given any attention, which was memorialised by Ingo Maurer in his most famous light.
