Well worth the money. Helps me keep everything together. Fairly easy to operate. I only wish these come in brown but otherwise they are everything that I could want. Good for shopping on bicycle at the market.

For some reason there is no company that serves America directly that has figured out how to...View More make a pannier this good, when I learned about these I was thrilled that there is a company importing them because there really is no comparison. Go out and read about all the others they're all missing one or more features that these bags have.

- The two straps of the Vaude bag are made of thin fabric, while Ortlieb has a rubber reinforcement. This not only makes Vaude uncomfortable to use, but the straps also break easily. These straps are necessary to take the bags...View More off the bicycle frame. Hence, these straps are used often. (pictures 3 and 4)- The backside (wheelside) of Vaude is a plastic board while Ortlieb covers this board with strong fabric. This plastic gets easily damaged, hence the strong fabric of Ortlieb is very important.-View Less
