For whatever reason, the handles are sold separately from this adze. And the handles are in short supply. I had to improvise with a hickory US handle and file/sand it to fit. Result was good. But if you don't have the...View More skill set, buy the proper handle when available and a spare.View Less

Not sure what wood this handle is made from, definitely not hickory and would most likely break the first time it was used.I returned it immediately...

Adze head is solidly built from a seemingly decent steel. Fit with the designed handle is so-so, it comes with no real cutting edge. I anticipate ~30 minutes to an hour of work sharpening and fitting it.
