This, along with the water in the samovar, is kept warm throughout the day. The tea concentrate is finally poured into a tea glass and topped up with water from the container via the tap. The mixture of concentrate and water is left to the tea drinker and determines the strength of the tea. It can therefore be individually adjusted from cup to cup. Boiling, hot, or warm water is always available and can also be used for preparing instant coffee or other ready-made drinks. Additionally, a samovar can serve as a kettle for mulled wine and other hot beverages.
What should you pay attention to when buying?
Practical are tea makers that emit an acoustic signal when the tea flows into the jug and is ready to drink. An automatic shut-off prevents the tea maker from running for hours and consuming electricity if you accidentally forget to turn it off. A water level indicator shows how much water is in the water container. In addition to the conventional version with a glass or plastic jug and warming plate, the tea can also flow directly into a thermos. This has the advantage that the jug can be removed from the machine while still keeping the tea warm. However, this is usually not as reliable as the warming plate, which, on the other hand, consumes electricity. Furthermore, you should pay attention to the cable length, as this allows for more flexible placement of the tea maker.
