Beware if you're buying this to hook to a fast fiber connection. When they say it has 1gpbs transfer rate they're referring to all 5 ports COLLECTIVELY it seems. Individually in the specs it says 100 meg half-duplex,...View More 200 full. Frankly, that could be made a little more plain in the large promotional print, kind of to the point of being at least a little misleading. I found this out by connecting to a 500mbps fiber service. I purchased 20 units some time back. We have since had several of them emit SMOKE when Ethernet cables were plugged in!! I immediately pulled all existing units and threw them in the trash. Will never buy TrendNET again - ever.
Does the job for less money.
