All in all I like the design and implementation of this product. However, I encountered a very frustrating situation that ultimately cost me a lot of time, money, and anxiety. I discovered that one of the ports on my panel is...View More bad and fails to make a connection for one of the 8 wires. At first, I assumed the issue was a faulty punchdown or bad cable. This patch panel was a great addition to my home network. I had just wired my house for Cats6a and needed a way to ground the cables. I have increased internal network speeds to a little over 2 gbs (due to the switch I currently...View More have). I did run a ground from my breaker box to the panel since I had to run a new outlet for my switch as well.View Less

The quality of this shielded patch panel is awesome. I would recommend this over the unshielded version every day. It is much sturdier, easier to punch down the wires, and has much better cable strain relief.
