Due to World War II starting on September 1, 1939, these aircraft were converted to military transport and reconnaissance aircraft and additional aircraft of the same design were produced for the Luftwaffe MODEL DETAILS: Over 51cm in length and with a wingspan of over 63cm - Includes 280 highly detailed parts FURTHER MODEL DETAILS: Includes a fully illustrated, step-by-step instruction manual, decal set and painting guide and paint reccomendations (sold seprately)

This is an enormous kit.The photos don't do it justice. In them, it just looks bulky and awkward, but in life all aspects of it are graceful.The wings are particularly nice, with a squared-off shape and SIX engines. ...View More Also--and this is something I have never seen on any plane--the wings have gun turrets. A beautiful model but not for the inexperienced. The number of near-microscopic parts is daunting, and the assembling of the radar parts nearly impossible--they should have been molded as one piece.
