The North-X Hammer ice axe is an ergonomic and versatile tool with a head and a pick, ideal for technical activities in mountaineering, climbing on steep mixed terrain and ice, or glacier crossing. This ice axe stands out with its special hand rest, easily adjustable with a sliding motion. When you plunge the axe into the snow, the hand rest slides up to help conserve energy and climb faster. If you're moving over steep rocks or ice, it locks in place once inserted to provide maximum support. Additionally, the elastic safety strap (shock force of 5 kN) integrated into the hand rest allows for quick and secure placement during self-belaying.
