The concept of an affordable foam sanding pad for flat finish work is very appealing as long as it performs well. This was my first, and last purchase of an open-cell, foam-backed type sand paper pad..I now know I prefer the...View More dense, grit-to-closed-cell-foam type pad (no paper). The Festool Granat pad does not perform satisfactorily for flat work and is hardly worth the expense for such.
