I found the Ahead Armor Drum bags to be more oversized/loose fitting (yes I purchased the correct sizes) than comparable Protection Racket brand bags. I tried the Ahead bags with correct sized drums from several drum...View More manufactures, the fit was overly loose with all the drums, whereas my same sized Protection Racket bags were nicely snug. Oversized bags allow the drum to move around in the bag and take up just that much extra real estate when transporting or storing. No Bueno.

This is the best bass drum case I have purchased. The way it completely unzips to create ease of access is second to none. It is well made and helps protect my investment. I will be converting my remaining tom cases to ahead.
