How companies get away with selling rubbish I don't know! Dwarf hamsters need at least a 70 × 50 cm cage with a 7 inch wheel at minimum. Syrian hamsters need an 80 x 50 cm cage with a 10 inch or 12 inch wheel depending how...View More large they are and this is the bare minimum!Please only buy this cage as an extension only for roborivski or small dwarves.View Less

It was a bit tricky to connect the plastic top to the wire cage, only managed to get 3 clips on, but over all a good cage, but if you have a fat hamster beware it might get stuck trying to get on the wheel.

This company has far bigger PLASTIC cages for dwarf hamsters that are MUCH MORE appropriate.And the picture shows a pair of dwarf hamsters...View More in there...soo sad. I can tell you now, no pair of hamster will live in a space that small and not fight. Makes me sad to see these tiny cages being made. Hamsters need space for roam and they also need ALOT of bedding.
