Was very excited about these buds, as I was looking for the best sound out there, and these certainly filled the bill
unfortunately, when using the LDAC codec, which is the reason I bought these things, the left ear bud...View More crackled, and cut out constantly
resetting them fixed it for awhile, but then it started up again
contacting hifiman, their suggestion was use a lesser codec, but who spends 500 dollars on high end buds, only to have to listen to them like they were entry level cheapos?

I don’t know why but the case doesn’t show me a charging light or feel like it’s working after only a damn month
The earphones are also slightly uncomfortable, otherwise great sound.

I was really excited when I purchased these earphones, assuming they'd be a step up from the Apple AirPods and Bose headphones I currently have. And, I'll have to admit, the first five minutes after opening the package...View More were sublime. There was a depth to the sound that was thrilling. Then the right earphone went out. Reset 'em. Disconnected then reconnected to my devices. All to no avail. This was a major fail. To think that this represents the quality control related to a $ 500 setView Less

Love this product overall. It’s more of a 4.5 than 5 though, solely because they are big and can be uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time. These would be perfect if they slimmed them down. Still highly recommend, but...View More long commutes are going to hurt your ears.View Less
