I have tried to install this "smart" system over two summers and had no success. The designers had created absolutely no user -friendly device. You need to have some programming skills to tune your device.

v1 versus v2 sensors

I have 4 sensors. Two version 1 types and two of the newer, cheaper, version 2 type sensors. I planted them all in a row as described in the instructions and monitored them over a few weeks. I kept the v2 on the ends of 0.5m...View More row to avoid any interference. The instructions say to keep them from anything metallic so I assume they use some kind of current sensing. V2 also need the soil analysis reseting if you move them.
I found the v2 sensors read significantly lower in wet conditions than the v2View Less

Zero Stars. Bought the product - I am in Australia where we have the Gardena app but the product resulted refused to connect - all I got was a flashing green light then a red light. No blue blue light. Would not connect. Brand...View More new batteries, phone right next to item. It doesn't help that there are NO instructions. No code for Apple HomeKit. The most useless bit of well made plastic that I have had the misfortune to spend my money on.View Less

Never got the opportunity to try it bout as I couldn't get the wi-go controller anywhere so had to get the manual timer instead.
