You have to love this pedal. Power in every setting from bottom end chainsaw sustain to lazer beam highs for shredding a hot mess.
Thought it would be a little more versatile for the price. Sounds good tho

This is the perfect pedal for people like me who like regular distortions (the rat, ds1, etc) but just need to push it more, without warping your tone with an overdrive. The ds2 has the benefit of the uniqueness of its turbo...View More mode but I've owned a ds1, ds2, ds1x, and now this and this thing wins by a landslide. The ds2 holds its ground if you really need to cut through the rest of a band but I'm the only Guitarist for mine so that's not a problem. It CAN pull off a light distortionView Less

I use this as a backup distortion pedal on my board in case my tube amp throws its towel in before a performance! It obviously doesn't sound the same as my Mesa But it does give a high gain tone with plenty of bottom end...View More that would suffice for a show.
The sound is quite heavy, full of bottom end and shouldn't leave you wanting any more gain-wise. It'll obviously never replace my Mesa but it is a good pedal in its own right.View Less
