The switch on top of the engine is hard for little hands to control. Forward for forward and backwards for backwards is fine, but you have to position it in the middle to turn it off. My 3 year old just does not have that degree...View More of manual dexterity. He and his 6 year old sibling both love it, but be careful of it being left on and draining the battery because they can't shut it off.View Less

What a fun idea to add battery operated trains to the wooden tracks! My grandsons play with them nonstop! The engines are sturdy and will pull many trains behind them.

It’s a super cute set but not worth £9.99 as I got the exact same one in Vinted for £1. I assumed it was battery powered by the description but sadly not.
