- loud banging sound whenever starting or switching input
- no video player capability
- only two 4k@120 and two 4k@60 inputs
- ugly remote controller
- no gigabybe ethernet
+ excellent 5.1.2 surrond sound

When I first bought this with some new floor standing speakers and some custom beater backs I built until I can get the rest of my new speaker set. I started to wonder why this receiver was so much I kinda felt like it was too...View More much money at first after I had heard it before calibration.
After running calibration proces(DCAC 9) turning on Phantom Speakers & 360 Spatial mapping.

I had Denon x3800 before Sony and I wasn't satisfied with Denon, so I bought a Sony. First, the Sony packaging is for 1 star. Very stingy. The amplifier is great, looks nicer than Denon and better for home cinema. The remote...View More design is from 1980, without backlight but it is practical and has everything you need. Otherwise, I use 5.1 surround. 360 ssm works great. Maybe I'll expand in the future to 7.1, 7.2, but it's unnecessary for me right now when 90% of movies are in 5.1. I haveView Less
