I did have a D750 until it hit a big rock, i’d say the D780 is more of a side step rather than a full on upgrade from the D750, i do like the extended shutter speeds of upto 900 seconds and the electronic front curtain shutter.
Excellent

I needed to get a full frame camera as when you have a DX crop camera, you get curious…. Now, in many ways this is not much better picture quality than my D5600 it replaces nor is the video (or picture) much better than my...View More mirrorless Z50.
So this was a luxury rather than necessity purchase.
But I’m very happy I did. It has the viewfinder and fast autofocus of the best DSLRs and the live view focussing of a mirrorless. (It has the same sensor as the Z6 albeit without IBIS in body stabilisation.View Less
In most ways a clear winner...

Moving back to DSLR from Sony SLT and E Mount, it was obvious to me that an optical viewfinder is just more comfortable for me. I also used some E Mount models, unimpressed with their strange ergonomics, despite some good...View More technology. The cameras were never comfortable, worse my A mount lenses were crippled with the adapters.
Time for a clean break, and I am very pleased in most ways with this.
+ OVF is excellent, detailed view with overlays.
+ Wonderful sensor, excellent DR and low light. NoView Less
