It completely stops blending. if you are making anything at all thick, you have to repeatedly...View More shake the blender or stir the contents to get it back within reach of the blade for a few more seconds before the same thing happens again. It arrived earlier than expected. We used it for a smoothie first thing after cleaning and rinsing as directed. There is a learning curve. Haven't quite got the technology of the buttons down but there is plenty of resources...View More online as well as the instruction manuals.
