Disguised in the small print of this items description is that it is suitable for france/germany etc. i.e. it comes with an EU plug not a UK one. A bit frustrating and embarrassing as I gave to someone as a present

I like glass kettles as I can see exactly how much water I am boiling. This kettle was to replace my last glass kettle. Firstly finding an adapter that is suitable for a plug socket in the UK was a challenge.
