I purchased a returned, reduced price Superconnect from a very reputable independent local retailer and the for the reduced price of £149, never mind the full price, I would have expected a better working headphone socket.
I...View More found if I fully inserted the headphone jack the sound would be very hollow & narrow sounding and then discovered that if I pulled the plug out just a little I would get the sound quality normally expected. Not great for a £350+ radio! So returned immediately.

First off, the sound quality is good and it's a nice looking unit that looks and feels premium. The DAB radio works satisfactorily. Bluetooth works okay. In summary, it's full of good ideas but the execution lets it...View More down.
The Spotify connect functionality is buggy, at best. It's rare to be able to be able to play a whole album without it locking up or dropping the connection. Internet radio is fiddly, as is the streaming media from the network.

The radio worked fine until the volume knob started acting up. Turning it down or up would turn the volume louder until it eventually started working as expected. Now turning the knob in any direction (to raise or lower the...View More volume slightly) makes the volume increase to max until repeated spinning, for almost a minute, lowers it down again. I emailed the manufacturer twice and also submitted requests on their website with no answer. AVOID THIS MANUFACTURER.View Less
