Bought the item via Amazon warehouse. As described in the advert, the item arrived with some damage to the packaging and without a power chord. I had a number of spare power leads that worked with the player so that was not a...View More problem and the player itself appeared undamaged. I bought it for the kitchen and in that context I'm happy with the sound of the CD and cassette players and also when I play my MP3 player through it. Haven't tried the FM tuner as I only listen to 6 music and talkView Less

I spent a long time reading reviews before I chose this item. I realise that the choices are limited these days because people use other sources for their music but I really needed a CD player. The sound quality is just not what...View More I expected. You cannot hear the words in songs. The settings (to adjust bass/treble etc) are just 5 pre-sets, so you can't get them exactly as you want. I guess I am going t have to spend a lot more to get something anywhere near what I would like.View Less
