4500MB/s write and 4300MB/s read on a MacPro 5.1 from 2010. Yes, 2010.The 2020 MacPro that costs $10,000+ doesn't have those speeds.I have two m.2 drives in there currently at RAID 0 as an video media drive for editing. If...View More I put two more, those speeds would almost double. I can edit 8K, 12K, RAW footage at half resolution natively on my 2010 Mac Pro.Do I recommend?Yes.Why did I get this one instead of the Sonnet Controller? NVME compatibility. The Hight Point has greater compatibility.View Less

Now I have 8 GIGs (8 one GIG NVMe sticks) of super fast storage configured in a RAID. At first I could NOT get the MAC OS to recognize the cards. On High Points website, I could NOT find the correct answer to this problem. My...View More solution was, using System Preferences, under Security & Privacy, I gave the raid-driver "Full-Disk Access."Although SSD7101A-1 is not "Bootable" in a MAC, however the High Point 7110 Controller will replace MAC's internal SSD, although you willView Less

The High Point SSD8101A-1 NVMe Raid Controller is the best disk speed provider you can get in a Mac Pro 2009-2012. You can Boot your OS from 1 NVMe and then use the other 3 NVMe as a raid for super fast disk speed and fast...View More transfers. My only complaint from this device is that the fan does make a little noise when it is operating.
