- Knights of the Old Republic takes place 4,000 years before the first Star Wars episode. The Republic is at war with the Sith, a clan of rogue Jedi who strive to seize control of the universe. And since the Force is strong within you, the fate of the entire galaxy soon rests on your shoulders. At the beginning of the game, you first decide in which role you want to undertake this epic adventure. A total of three different character classes are available to you: As a scoundrel, you are a stealthy attacker who primarily attacks enemies from ambush. The soldier, on the other hand, plunges straight into battle. Scouts rarely get their own hands dirty and prefer to use their skills as computer hackers to get nearby robots to do the dirty work. Later in the game, you will also go through Jedi training. This opens up three more paths for you: Guardian, Consular, or Sentinel.
