After the events of Overlord: Raising Hell, the Overlord was missing from the world. Without his reign of terror, the Glorious Empire—a power similar to the Roman Empire—expanded in a campaign driven by decadent politicians and gigantic armies. Its declared goal: to exterminate any form of magic and magical creatures. But in the arctic regions, the Empire’s Inquisition encounters a small boy who is said to possess magical powers. In the peaceful Nordberg, he is an outsider and is therefore to be handed over to the legions. Just at the moment of the handover, however, unexpected rescue appears on the scene: the small, sneaky, fearless minions! Searching for their master, they save the little brat—and find their new Overlord.
